Our beloved Mount Monaco overlooking San Vito lo Capo, you can not miss it if you visit the area!  It is called Monaco due to a unique feature that you will notice once you get close, we will not reveal the reason on this page :)  There is an opportunity to do some wonderful trekking on Monte Monaco, ask us how to get there and what to take etc...  The height of the mountain is 535 meters, the summit can be reached from San Vito lo Capo in about 2 hours through an ancient path.  At the summit of Mount Monaco you can see the entire Gulf of Castellammare, and a large part of the province of Trapani including the Egadi islands of Favignana, Marettimo, Levanzo and the island of Ustica.
